The VTA represents the industry by being members of and participating in a number of External Committees and Affiliated Organisations, including:
- Ministerial Freight Advisory Council
- Victorian Enforcement Liaison Committee
- NHVR Industry Operations Group
- Victorian Road Freight Advisory Council
- Transport Industry Safety Group
- Transport Industry Council
- National Transport Commission â Industry Advisory Group
- NSW Road Freight Industry Council
- Victorian Railway Crossing Safety Steering Committee
The VTA also supports the national agenda in collaboration with organisations such as the Australian Trucking Association, the Australasian Railway Association, the Australian Logistics Council, Roads Australia and the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation.
